One question, why do you pass in g as a Graphics object at 3:57 on line 74 but then immediately cast it to a Graphics2D object? Wouldn't it be easier to just pass it in as a Graphics2D object? Is it to avoid the possibility of doubleBufferGraphics on line 70 at 4:20 being not a Graphics2D object and thus causing an error?

At this speed and no offered code text in the description you must have specifically targeted an under 30 year old audience. Of course, why would you care about people double of that age and little to no experience, who are just interested in the subject, right? Thank you for sharing, and you do seem to be a good programmer, but as a lecturer - not so much. Try watching your video.
