Donner B1 Bass Synth: Let's Get Squelchy (and Using ChatGPT to Write Some Music)

Показать описание
Essentially a clone of the iconic Roland TB-303, this single oscillator mono synth features a built-in 16-step sequencer, and range of knobs and dials to modify the sound. The Donner B1 is a versatile instrument, ideal for live performances or anyone looking to learn hands-on. You can even use it as a basic USB-C MIDI keyboard, albeit without key velocity and very soft touch rubber keys.

Like many I had a TB-303 early on. And like many people I sold it, luckily for a profit. But where they are priced at now I'm kicking myself badly, as I do for so many synths I sold over the years. I love the Donner B1. So cheap and really powerful for the money.

Excellent. Thank you that was fun & informative. The knob joke was so corny...but the way you said it really made me laugh. I'll be looking out for your videos. 😊😎

Just ordered one, and was pleasantly surprised to see you have a Donner DMK-25 as well. I've rarely used mine as I didn't realize the DMK-25 is only a midi keyboard controller, and I'd like to do the same as you demonstrated but still a noob to midi. What cables etc did you use to connect the two Donner units?

Does it not have a built in speaker? I have it plugged in but there’s no sound

Your house is starting to look like mine, lol. I have more instruments than furniture. 2 workstations, one for the synths and controlles, and the other for guitar work. I literally have 2 office chairs and a bed as furniture. And I love it that way =)

The blinking lights are little to harsh. Hard to watch.
