there is spray you can get that protects the polyester flags from fading it is called scotch Brite

Thanks. I am glad to someone who likes to hang their flag for 12 months. I have never had a flag that lasted more than 6 month. I will buy a polyester one and see if I have as good luck as yopu.

Thanks for this informative video. I have a big US flag that I bought over 10 years ago, but I fly it maybe 10 days out of the year. And the last few years I have not flown it at all, because it is so badly faded. It has no rips or mechanical flaws Here is the description of my flag from the receipt: American Flag 6ft x 10ft Valley Forge Koralex II 2-Ply Sewn Polyester". Previous flags I have owned have tattered along the flapping edge. In any event, the fading ruins the display value as much as does getting ripped. So after watching your video, I think I would be better served to buy a nylon flag, and to replace it as soon as it starts to tear, or fade. What good is it, at least for me, to have a mechanically sound flag, but which is so faded that it doesn't display well???? So I'll spend less on a nylon flag, and replace it more Again, thank you for your very honest and informative video! God Bless America!

Put the Florida flag I have from United States flag company. I have a super polyester before that I had another one in a 3 x 5 but then I had a super power yesterday double sided like the Alabama flag that single-sided and I’m wearing something stronger have a heavy duty Florida flying from United States flag store for $40 specifically so I can fly and strong winds in survive, and when flew it in strong winds it came undone on the bottom corner on the flight and not a part below the fly And ensure a little spot we went to feed off the winds were gusting to 45 or worse staying at 45 apparently Let’s do your flex win 45 mile an hour winds, and it looks fine

I’m not sure the second company I mentioned the second or third company not basically the flag not from Gettysburg. Ukraine is starting to kind of come on down a little bit. I’m on the part where the other flanges are coming in town Bellingham in Gettysburg. I could try to figure out how to sew it together or you can use mighty mend it too. They have any materials to and different versions of nylons some hold up better and some don’t even last a minute in 10 mile an hour winds Selling a home together but on the top corner, it will start to come on Fred. I don’t know if that’s a defect or white I have an Arizona flag and I had a fluent for while I’m gone in 2022 in Arizona at some Flagstone Scottsdale when I went out there with my dad because he had a job out there and then we went to Vegas afterwards but anyways I hadn’t flown in for a while or an all weather when we got back in the first time and decide to fly whenever some rain coming not bad the winds were 10 to 13 miles an hour 10 I think the strongest It flew nicely in terms of very slowly and moved easily and that kind of wind but then it kind of started to come on friend like I said, and then it got faded after a while why fluid, and then part of my concern, laughter while decided to put it on the trailer. We have here in Alabama at my dad’s house before I moved out and now that’s where it is and now it’s kind of faded on there and it’s kind of starting to get some strings on it or it didn’t have strings on the other end, but still it happened in 2017 to my aunt got me a 4 x 6 belt and friend. It was originally for her son because she likes soccer but it was too big and I decided to fly on the beach at some point while we were there and then that’s when it started to come undone on the same spot on the top right corner not on the actual flight end, but only him on the top you know what I mean the top of the flag on the corner not the top right corner on the fly in for the top right corner above the flying. I don’t know what that part of the flag is called even though I am somewhat pretty knowledgeable on flgs

Shame on both the flag company and you. Unlike you, if the flag is damaged in any way, i take it to my local vfw and have them take care of it.
