I bought these to replace a set of Pro Taper carabiner tie downs for my dirt bike. The PowerTye tie downs are every bit as sturdy as the Pro Taper's, but the cam buckle operates much more smoothly, plus they are $10 cheaper. Anyone that's used the Pro Taper's will tell you that they are very difficult to release...not so with the PowerTye's.
