They removed every drop from meteorites back a while ago because people were using automated traps and meteors to Farm biome keys

Fun fact :The Zoologist's attacks look very similar to the attacks of the Terragrim. In the wiki, it's said she uses her claws to defend herself, making her a way more efficient selfdefending npc, compared to other projectile-shooting npc, who miss a lot and don't attack permanently if needed

Fun fact : chests (empty or full), players, dungeon and temple are the only things preventing from a meteor spawn in their radius. If placed correctly, some chesty bois can help you send a meteorite where you want ! Also, you can totally crash the game using lizhard bricks and chests.

i got everything pre hard-mode you can get with hellstone (expect that space gun thingy) just for the meteorite to land 2 days later.
i searched that it for another whole day and found it AT THE BOTTOM OF A CHASM IN THE CORRUPTIONNN
i collected the whole thing which game me around 400 meteorite just for me to remember hellstone was better.
it felt like mining lead in hardmode

The reason why they don't drop loot in HM is to prevent players from being able to get biome keys

the meteors not dropping anything is probably to stop easy farms for biome keys where you just wear turtle armor and go afk to get biome keys and other rare drops that drop from any enemy in hardmode

I’ll be damned, I’ve actually learned something new about the game. It’s happening less often nowadays, I’ve been playing for over a decade at this point, but even still it seems I don’t know everything.

I truly thought meteorites still spawned after breaking an orb/heart. I never noticed that it wouldn’t spawn until after the world-evil boss is killed.

Off topic but, according to the wiki, terragrim is a weaker version of arkhalis but i still love both of them.Bcs i enjoy slashing enemy multiple times and It sounds very satisfying for me.i wish i could use them again since i store them in old world.For now on, I still using zenith as my main weapons.
