Star Wars Jedi: Survivor - How to Kill the Rancor

The Rancor is one of the toughest optional battles you'll find early on in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, but if you're determined and want to take him out right away, here are tips on what to do against each of his attacks and some general strategy to keep in mind for the fight.

The bloody grab and eat you is so hard to time dodge. Literally within seconds of hitting the floor its his first attack on me

Died on this like 50 times on Jedi master difficulty but so satisfying when you kill it . Double bladed light sabrer and dodge most attacks, also you can force pull the bones laying on the ground and then push them at him and it goes into his mouth and allows you to do some damage while he’s stunned .

Use the dual wield stance. Only use light saber throw to deal damage. Use the dropped XP as an extra heal and force. So don't immediately touch it. Use your force meter fully then touch the XP to get full force meter immediately so that you can continue spamming light saber throw. You can easily take out more than half of his healthbar this way. There is also a perk that increases light saber throw damage.

There’s a spot where u can just stand still and kill him easily. Far left of the column stand looking at the glowing item. Line up the rancor in the middle. He will just end up standing still. Don’t move. All you have to do is throw your lightsaber until he drops.

This Rancor is way faster than the rancor in the original trilogy when Luke had to face it in the pit scene.

Turn the difficulty down to story, kill it in 8 seconds, turn your difficulty back up, especially with no difficulty trophies attached

Another way to beat him is just parrying his melee attacks. You can parry most of his attacks except the stomp and of course the red attacks. But getting in close and parrying does the trick.. Takes a ton of skill, but with practice and persistence it’s in the bag.

Beat it. Used these tips. Thanks. Keeping distance and evading the grab is what did it. You can punish that move for a while and you can always see it coming because it glows red.

There is an easy way. You just need to climb back up and let it approach the ledge and then deal ranged damage

Just beat him on Jedi grandmaster, i can confirm it’s harder than Ogdo Bongo but there’s worthy reward awaits you unlike Ogdo with worthless BD-1 skin

Or if you have single Saber throw and charged single saber throw hide in the left side prison cell and cheese him without any danger. Blaster wont work here since you need to land saber hits for bullets aka slower.
