Firefighters battle wildfire on Tenerife

Emergency services battled a wildfire on Tenerife, one of the Canary Islands. Spanish authorities evacuated four villages. The fire broke out in the national park surrounding the Mount Teide volcano.

The Spanish, as most places, planted trees TOO close to each other. So fire-breaks cannot be made. What is the point of so many trees? Money? It will kill the island.
