Wire Wrapping Tutorial - Mini Micro Cab Wraps, One Wire, Beginner

Learn this easy, one wire, cabochon wire wrap for all your small to tiniest stones without holes! This wrap is designed for cabochons that are 10mm to 6mm in size with a thickness of about 4mm. The wire gauge recommended is 18 gauge, which is large enough to 'tension' or 'pressure' wrap these mini stones and hold them securely. I call these Mini and Micro cab wraps components because they can be used for many things in your jewelry making! Add these to hooks and they become earrings! Add a jump ring and turn these into cute little chocker pendants! Use them as charms for your favorite beaded necklace or bracelet! Enjoy the inspiration!

If you use a larger stone (up to 1 inch round) ... I recommended sizing your wire up to 16 gauge or decide to wire weave the coils. On a larger stone, the coil tension might not be strong enough to securely hold your stone in place.
