Sold the Chris Cornell Songbook lp. I got a good price for it as the time ($225) but i kinda wish i still had it as it is hard to come by. But that being said, my collection is larger than i can really listen to--so i gotta slim down sometimes.

Man, what a great video!
Most recently, in 2019, Billy Strings released “Home” I ordered 50 copies for the shop, got 40-50. Played it in the shop all the time, told everyone to buy them, and they sat forever, not many people knew who he was. Eventually they all sold, just looked it up the other day and now they are going for $200 all day, kinda wish I would have hung on to all of em 🤣

Oh and Daft Punk Discovery!?!? WTF!

Love this idea for a video series. Keep them coming!

REALLY hope that Smashing Pumpkins gets a repress soon, I regret putting it off for so long, kinda like a couple Slayer albums I kept putting off getting too!

I gave away a copy of Them Crooked Vultures to a friend. Figured it was no big deal since I bought it for $16. When I remembered to buy it again, it had shot up to $35, so I decided to wait ‘til the price dropped. Never happened. It’s now selling for well over $100 and I’m still trying to hunt down a replacement because I refuse to get gouged.

Kind of glad I picked up “Siamese Dream” when my favorite local record store did a 33% off sale on their 33rd anniversary a few years back.

Ugh… Beatles Let It Be Naked for $40, Coldplay Parachutes Orange B&N for $37, Sara Bareilles signed B&N What’s Inside for $45…. 😩

I LOVED this video, and would really enjoy it as a series! First of all, most of these records you sold are on my Discogs wantlist and I don’t think I’ll ever own any of them for a fair price (Modest Mouse, Beulah, and especially Hit Vibes are the main ones). As for me, I’ve only sold 8-10 records since I started collecting, all were duplicates so I probably won’t end up regretting it too hard. I had an extra clear copy of Everything in Transit and an extra red and swirly copy of Punisher, sold them for $60 each; time will tell if they skyrocket beyond that, but again, I still own a copy of both so I’m good

Haven't tuned in to your channel for awhile.. In 2001-2006 I traded alot of records for other ones. and some Cd's. Dont want to remember, at times I will think of a certain record, and it isn't there ! ( in my collection). I subbed you of course, on two devices..

For someone who had fomo, I feel that selling albums in my collection will bite me in the butt later…and there are some albums I’ve bought duplicates of. Fomo sucks

Wish I would’ve kept one of the copies of the bachelors on the Aladdin label

I've never sold a record, I'm only 200 records in or so, I'm keeping it all killer atm. This type of shit is my nightmare lol.

Keep the videos coming Matt. Listen, we all make mistakes and I have 4 pretty big ones. Sold The Beatles Top loader UK mono for $150 CDN preCovid. It's well over $500+++!! Also 3 Smith's Albums, still in shrink!!! Rank, Strangeways and Louder than Bombs. $50 for all 3. Big regrets!!

Man, Hit Vibes was $15 when it first released?!

Over The Years, I traded in Originals of The Gang Of Four, Bauhaus, Killing Joke, Sonic Youth & Siouxsie & The Banshees amongst others. The Price ( at the time was right ✅ ) but wish I had been more selective. I console myself knowing I have plenty of good titles still on hand.

Great video, Matt! This topic also made me think about all of the records I bought because of FOMO only to have it be repressed/more easily available. Almost got a copy of Viktor Vaughn a few months ago for around $200 but I'm so happy I waited and got the repress for $30.

Oof ~ an original pressing of Sade’s “Soldier of Love”. I sold it for like $12 to a shop. Felt nostalgic for it last year only to find out it was $80.xx on the low end and $225 high end.

I’ve since bought the entire box set but damn.

Not sold, but i regret giving my brother my original 80's pressings of Motley Crue's "shout at the devil" & "theater of pain" albums. I thought i out grew Crue & gave them to my bro. Several years later i wanted them back but he said "oops i threw out all my old vinyl records in the garbage a year
