He was "Just a bit outside". Never quite the player, never a movie star, never quite a standup comedian but know what? He was right down the middle and knocked it out of the park in a way no one else ever will.

Absolute legend in baseball broadcasting. Had to come here this film was a baseball comedy classic and he was a big reason why. RIP to Mr Baseball the great Bob Uecker

Loved the "Uecks". I was an Atlanta native watching him catch Phil Niekro in 1967 for the Atlanta Braves. Johnny Carson loved him; some 40 appearances! 😞 Rest his soul, job well done Buddy we'll miss you. 💔
