I'd take the M5, even being a GTR lover

When GT-R Fanboys argue:

Their grounds-

1. It's only a v6

2. It lost from a roll but a dead stop, it would beat any car because launch control m8

3. Oh psht its the older gtr, it loose against the newer ones for sure

When a GT-R loses a track race:

1. Bro, it would beat it in a drag race

When a GT-R loses in a drag race"

1. Bro, race it on a track instead. It will eat it.

When a GT-R loses on both track and drag race:

1. (Insert ground #1 here)

2. Bro, its cheaper and with mods it will win bro.

Rinse and repeat each statement.

Damn that m5 is really a beast. A big heavy german saloon is as fast as "the-mighty Godzilla" . Im really impressed.

these arguments are hilarious. these are 2 completely different cars built for completely different purposes. both are great at what they do. when the r35 gtr came out it put the motor world in check and forced every other manufacturer to re evaluate their super cars and step up their game. almost all of them secretly and not so secretly bought a gtr and reverse engineered it to see how Nissan was able to do it. now the the is reaching the end of its reign. with that said can't wait to get my m5 cause I have 3 kids and the m5 is way better at getting my family around town

The BMW M5 is the best car ever made in history.

Thanks for the support and understanding :)

The hilarious thing is, the f10 M5 can be bought for around £20k in the U.K., and bmw underrated their bhp and most make over 620bhp standard, then you can remap them to 750bhp without supporting mods. Possibly the best value supercar slayer in the world? 🤔🤷‍♂️😁

i think both of the cars are amazing. I would gladly have any of them. There is no need to argue which is the better car, because both of the producers have made a good job. After a few minutes of thinking I'd probably go with the BMW because I like it's lines, forms and shapes better...

GTR is faster from 0-100 km/h yeah but that doesn't mean it's faster from a roll. 2 different things completely. Just shows how impressive the bimmer is for a 4-door sedan.

Newest gtr still doesn’t have a higher top speed that the 2006 m5

considering the M5 is a more usable car...I think I would take one over the GT-R... I like the GT-R as well...but lets be honest... a family sedan that can keep up with a "mostly built for the track" car..?!? I'm a BMW fan all the way and who also happens to own an E30 (24v swapped), E28, and E34....but i know the GT-R is mean on the track and can whooopppp ass! however...how many times are you going to see these two on a track?? It'll probably be on the hwy some where and both rich ass holes driving these will inevitably give each other a run for their money!

That's what I've been trying to explain since my first post. Some people are just on YouTube to troll. A car with 500HP doesn't need AWD to hook up from the speed they're rolling from. It's only going to start helping at those speeds during cornering, providing more stability. Especially with the impressive torque vectoring system of the GT-R. I'm a huge fan of the powerplant in the F10 too just so I don't sound like a fanboy, lol. The twin-scroll twin turbo system is really remarkable.

As a f10 Comp owner, for some reason the GTR feels faster in the drivers seat, maybe it's the turbo lag, maybe it's the shorter gearing, or maybe because is smaller and lighter and less isolated. But love both cars.

That is correct. It's a very simple concept really, I don't know that I can break it down into more simple terms for you. If the hypothetical RWD GT-R is travelling at 60MPH, and he goes full throttle without spinning the rear tires, that means he is putting 100% of his power to the ground. Why would it be beneficial to have power distributed to the front wheels at that point?

Excellent match up.
Keep them coming Gustav this is a cool start to my weekend!

I'm trying to explain to you that from the speed they are rolling, AWD does not provide any benefit. Why? Because at ~500bhp, even the RWD M5 has full traction, so having more traction wouldn't help acceleration. During cornering you are using a percentage of your tires' grip to hold the car in a corner, and only a certain percent remains to put down power on corner exit. If you have 4 drive tires you can utilize the remaining grip of your front tires to supplement holding power on corner exit.

Would you rather drive in luxury and style without every cop looking at you like a hoon, while being able to use it for business and pleasure. Or would you like to drive around a quite common car that has loads of plastic, looks like cop bait and if you don't spend money on it the second you get it, it'll just be another boring stock GTR, not to mention it's not the most business oriented car to say the least, if your profession calls for professionalism, then this is not the car to turn up in for the interview haha. I lost all respect for GTR's after the R34. Too many people own the damn R35 it's becoming a daily sight. The F10 M5 I think I may have only seen 1 around. Not to mention the BMW is basically made in a Laboratory compared to a construction line, not that GTR's are bad in any way, but they can not compare with the F10 M5, or most of the M models for that fact.

I can't believe how even that race was.
