Just a couple of comments:
1. Red is traditionally the color of Passion and even Rage.
2. Green is the color of Peace and Healing.
3. The key is Grace’s childhood and her family secrets - either a sibling or her mother - and Franklin has always protected and covered for her. He’s Grace’s HERO.
4. Every interaction from Grace’s POV is not based on reality — she lives in her own mind.
Great review and comments 🌹

This show does an excellent job in creating suspense. Jonathan’s lawyer stated that Grace may have post betrayal trauma. I would have left Jonathan in that jail😂 What did Jonathan do with that $500k?!? The officer shows Grace video footage of her walking in Elaina’s neighborhood the night of the murder. Plus, Grace has visions of Elaina’s death 🤔 Did she see her get murdered?!? Did she block it out? You’re correct about the looks between Jonathan and Sylvia. I think there’s more to that relationship. I think Sylvia is more involved than we think....

My only issue with Grace being the killer is that Elena was bludgeoned to death with a hammer. There would be blood splatter EVERYWHERE. Grace didn’t look like she had blood anywhere on her clothes in the video. Did she have a change of clothes? The fact that we saw the video footage so early on makes me think this is a misdirect.

When Henry was going through his closet I thought he was planing to run away until he saw his father's photo. The art / museum connection could be between Franklin and Elena. Was he Elena's patron? How did he know where she lived? Johnathan had a fictitious medical convention trip planned before the murder. Did he plan to leave with Elena, their child and the $500, 000? My prime suspect is still Grace followed by Franklin and Sylvia.

1. Grace's dad is waaaay too involved in her life and may have been in cahoots with the Alena's husband to set up the stupid doctor.
2. All those prison scenes were unbelievable, and Grace was too dressed up to be making the jailhouse visit.
3. The doc's short co-worker is a little drip.
4. Grace's lawyer friend is shady as hell.
5. I still think Grace's son Henry is the killer.

Dr. Grace sure loves a red fingernail and jacket!! lol. I thought it was interesting that Grace and her Dad had that conversation about Jonathon while playing a game of Chess. A game of STRATEGY! hmmmm...

Baby’s name is Teresa. Grace had a hallucination when she was walking and stopped in front of a picture stand-she sees Elena being struck with her sculpting hammer. ? How did Grace know that unless she did it? The hallucination is from the perspective of the killer. ?

Do you remember when Grace was talking to her dad and he said that cheating was forgivable and hitting her in a fit of rage is forgivable but not this? The hint at abuse is suspect to me! Idk what yo think tho 😭😭 great review btw!

as soon as she mentioned cameras I knew they had her on tape but even that footage ( unless there is more) isnt anything conclusive or damning. She even says i dint know where she lives whether thats true or not

one other thing... there is definitely more to Johnathon and Sylvia then Grace knows. I am not sure how involved Sylvia has been with him, but she is holding back a lot it appears to me. Thanks a lot for the great chat about this fantastic series... Nicole is the best actress possible for this role.

We saw only bits of Elena in the first episode, all we know is that Elena was in position of need due to Miguel's cancer and Johnathan did taken advantge of her, as his collague said to Grace. It seems now that the Fraser are trying to give her in a bad name in a very shameful way: as a psychologist Grace knows very well how a patience (or in this case a mother's patience) could fall in that trap she call rescue romance syndrome, as she told to her father, so playing the "what kind of mother..." with Fernando reveals something about her instead (or how rich white people try to get away with their deeds). That is pretty suspicious and awful, considering Elena was for sure a lovely mother. Hope to see more about her as a person in the next episodes.

Donald Sutherland plays a good villain, so I'm picking him as the killer. I think we will find out that Jonathon's life is a web of lies, and that Grace did not know him at all. I think we will also find out that Grace's blond lawyer friend had an affair with Jonathon as well.

In the opening of each episode where Grace is playing and bursting bubbles, there's a shot in monochrome of what looks like water and the reflection of a person, perhaps a child standing. It appears 2 times. Can anyone figure out what the significance of this shot is?
Also Grace's bubbles bursting ... I don't think she's the murderer but she's a very caring, nice woman who wakes up when people burst her perfect life.

I am still going to go with my Grace has a dissociative personality disorder theory and I have a new twist. Franklin caused the trauma in her head when she witnessed him killing her Mom.

Remember in the first episode when Henry asked his mom casually during breakfast if she knew Elena? & if she was a nice person??

Also in the open, Grace as a little girl is bursting a bubble in the last shot while she is singing. This is very symbolic of something.

I think it’s funny that Hugh grant is finally playing the character that most people see him as, as opposed to all those “mr right” characters from his romcoms.

So much info in this episode and so much left out as well. Something definitely happened in her childhood and I’m wondering if the opener with young Grace will reveal that later. Did Grace have something to do with her mother’s death or maybe her father. Her father seems extremely protective of Grace. I wouldn’t be surprised if the father did some thing or if Grace has blackouts and went to visit Elena because she was intrigued or concerned that night. Maybe Elena told her about her affair with Jonathon and the baby being his and Grace killed her and a rage.
Your idea about Franklin following Jonathon is a really good one. He could have killed her to protect the family.

I like the suggested themes of the title...the undoing of one’s view of reality, the undoing of a marriage, the undoing of a family, the undoing of a career, the undoing of the State’s case as stated as her job by the attorney Hailey. One wonders how someone other than Grace could have done the murder without being recorded by the one security camera. Lastly, what was the implication of Franklin going to look into the window of the husband with Jonathan’s daughter? Great suspense/mystery, great acting! I am enjoying this ride and your reviews.
