What's remarkable is.... first off, you gotta know HOW to mix. But being a good DJ is obviously so much more than that. You gotta know your audience. And once you know your audience, you gotta know HOW to move and inspire that audience. And that's where KNOWLEDGE comes in...EXPERIENCE. As a DJ, you gotta internalize thousands of tracks, and be able to immediately know what might be a good next track to play.

Also, let's face it....this kid is at least 4-5 decades younger than most of the folks in this crowd. That means he has to be familiar with music these folks might like, from the present, all the way back to the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s. He has to have those CLASSIC DANCEFLOOR hits under his belt, to pull out at just the right moment, to get the crowd pumped up...like at 16:43, how he starts mixing in You Used to Hold Me...

How on earth is he able to accomplish this, at such a young age?? He's clearly got an old soul. Also, how many 15 year olds do you know who'd be interested in DJing for ....'a bunch of old folk'?? ;-) But, clearly he's got soul...he knows good music when he hears it, no matter what the age of the party-goers.
