LUNAR REMASTERED COLLECTION REVIEW - Happy Console Gamer

Lunar Remastered Collection review is an upcoming video game compilation published by GungHo Online Entertainment, containing remastered versions of the role-playing games Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete (1996) and Lunar 2: Eternal Blue Complete (1998), originally developed by Game Arts. It is set to release for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Windows, and Xbox One on April 18, 2025.
The collection features updates to the original games including enhanced graphics and audio, widescreen support, spoken language options in Japanese or English, and various quality-of-life improvements.

So many most-wanted JRPG and seemingly unlikely re-releases have been realised. Grandia, Chrono Cross, Baten Kaitos, Suikoden and now this. Truly a golden age of accesibility, especially for us in Europe who didn't get a fair fee of these first time round.
Maybe one day Xenogears and even the Xenosaga games will get a modern touch up.

I was the first person in line at my local Walmart to buy both PS1 sets. It doesn’t matter that I was the only person in line in my town of 8000 people. It’s the dedication. Still have them, too

This looks stellar and is a must purchase as a JRPG fan especially from the original era Lunar is from. If this succeeds maybe we get a collectors edition and hopefully a Lunar 3. Physical copies incoming and I'm very excited! MORE JRPG REMASTERS FROM THIS ERA!

As someone who still owns the Sega CD, the PS1 re-releases with all the original packaging goodies. You can bet I will be picking this up.
The Lunar series holds as much magic for me as the earlier Square and Enix games, and anyone into jRPGs should pick these up immediately.

My friends and I spent so many months playing these games on Sega CD...back then it wasn't cool for to be a nerd in the hood, so we felt like we had a whole secret world that we enjoyed endlessly. I spent many hours just poring over the art in the booklets.Then we were so hyped when the Playstation refresh versions dropped! I'm curious about these Switch editions and I really want the original dialogue that I fell in love with but its been like 25 years, I'm sure I'll stop thinking about it as I'm playing.

I only discovered Lunar a few years ago, and I remember watching the opening cut scenes and hearing the music and thinking to myself "oh my, this is a special one" the same feeling I had when playing Grandia and Chrono Cross and so many other classics that have become part of my life. I am so excited for this remaster.
