I'm sorry but those words, " Ask not what you country can do for you.... etc", were in his inauguration address and not his last known words! It has been reported that his actual 'last words' were: "No you can't say that, " which was in response to small talk among himself, Gov. Conaly and the two men's wives when Gov. Conaly said, "you can't say Dallas hasn't given you a warm welcome" (not exactly a complete quite, as I'm relying on an aging memory bank from at least 55 years ago). Knowing without doubt that this claim about JFK is wrong, I also have reservations about these alleged "last words" of Ghandi and Jack Daniels. The last words of Julius Caesar, "Ettu Brute" or "You too Brutus" are established on our minds from Shakespeare and 'poetic license' most likely should be taken with a proverbial "grain of salt"! As a lifelong history buff and a history major, I cherish that the author and originator of these clip seeks to preserve and share history and yet accuracy and truth are supremely important as well. I would like to add that history is not history because we like or dislike it's revelations but because it's one of the many events that made us who and what we are, good or bad or in-between.
