I'm a US citizen. I have a right to travel within this nation. If I already have a driver's license that would allow me to drive anywhere in thr country, it's insane that I need this "real" ID. The federal government just needs to make everyone's life harder to justify its own bloat.

I asked for the real ID when I got my driver's license renewed last year bcuz I knew it was changing this year. The guy said, yeah okay...but when I got my new driver's license in the mail, it was not the real ID. Now I have to go in again and pay another fee, smh. Damn scammers.

Once I got everything together, it was fast at the DMV. Some people don't have all this stuff handy and that can take a while.

I'm a veteran and I can't fly because of this garbage. I'm not interested in playing their game anyway. You have to waive your rights to fly and I won't do that. The only enemy attacking our freedoms is our own government.
