Thank you SO much for this! Our dad died in 2015 and his whistle was so distinctive that it felt like we could hear it from miles away! He always got a kick out of watching us search for him by following his whistle! My siblings and I haven’t laughed this hard since before his passing. Thank you for the fond memories!!

This was my dad, and I'm black😂 Thank you for this. I just shared it with my family. We didn't play when we heard that whistle. It was time to stop what you're doing and get in place or get in the house.😂😂😂love this.

My dad was Greek. He had a whistle that for each of us 4 kids, and one that meant all of us. Even the kids on our block knew who he was summoning 🤣 He did other stuff, like charging us a nickel for leaving a light on. He even charged my mom if she left the oven on too long after taking something out of the oven. He charged her a dime 🤣 I’m 71 now and still can hear those whistles in my memories. RIP Dad 2016, WWII Navy vet. YES SIR 🫡

My dad wasn't Mexican but he would come out on porch and whistle for us (7 kids) and the whole neighborhood knew. Other kids would say hey I heard your dad!, we come running 🤣🤣. Good memories!

My husband taught the kids the family whistle. Now they all find each other and go look for me, because I can’t whistle 😂

😂😂😂 Notice the quick response with no whining, words, ignoring the call, nor meltdowns. Luv the efficiency of it all😂😂😂

My grandpa was Mexican and used "the whistle" to call for me, and I understood that I was to waste no time returning or finding him.

I'm not even partially Mexican, but my dad also whistles for me and my siblings. One time, me and my dad were at Walmart and he whistled for me since he was waiting for meds and I went to the electronic entertainment section to see if there was anything new.
He whistled for me and I came running. Evidently, someone asked my dad what he was doing, then asked if that actually worked. Right as they finished asking that, I came around the isle and called out "Yeah, dad?"
Everyone involved got a laugh out of that. 😂

As a Mexican, I can confirm the “whistle call” is true😂😂

LMAO this is so true! I love my Dad whistle and its a pretty low down way of calling for someone without making a scene. I can hear it even if its loud and crowded 😂😂😂

Always fun to search for my dad, but that whistle is engraved into my mind.
