Our Cep season in the UK was epic this year. I didn't try cloning because they're mycorrhizal - I should have just tried though like you. good work sir.

Ho provato questanno a recuperare le spore da un individuo adulto e portarli in soluzione acquosa con estratto di malto. Dopo averlo replicato in più vasi ho portato in zone simili e irrorato sotto il muschio. Ora attendo i risultati per il prossimo anno

I believe they will fully colonise a masters mix block too right? I’m very interested in cracking this code too! I think the secret is finding exactly what the chemical in the roots of both Beech and oak is during the Porcini fruiting season is, the way to go about doing this is to dig up the roots of and take a sample of both an oak and a beech and then doing a chemical comparison to see matching chemicals are then attempting to get that chemical and add it to a fully colonised Porcini block in varying sized mixes to see if the Porcini will fruit

That had a nice soft interior! Easy to cut. What can I do with stringy interiors, that are really hard to detach? I'm considering taking tweezers in as well as my blade.

Hey Gary, love the work you are doing! Do you put any additives in your agar mixture or in with your grain to facilitate/help with mycorrhizal species growth? Or do they just grow out fine on a standard MEA plate and chosen grain? I’m mainly asking for Porcini.
