Sam Altman UNVEILS Key Points of GPT-5 (AGI, AI Agents and More)

Sam Altman, the CEO of OpenAI, had a chat with Bill Gates about the future of AI and Gpt 5.
They discussed a few things including the much-anticipated GPT5.
Altman shared that, along with OpenAI, they're shifting their focus to multimodality and then multimodal AIs in their future AI work, GPT5 included.

GPT-4 has already had a major impact on a lot of industries and on the AI Techscape, and GPT-5 is expected to be even more impressive.
GPT-5 will be able to handle text, speech, and video, thanks to Computer Vision.
This will make it much more versatile and allow it to interact with the world in new and exciting ways.
But, that's not all.

AI progress isn't just about software; it extends to robotics and physical AI.
OpenAI is putting resources into companies working on robotic platforms that can team up with advanced AI models.
This means AI is not only getting smarter on screens but might soon be interacting with the physical world through robots.

About AGI, Altman thinks there's a good chance we might reach a point called artificial general intelligence in the next 20 years. AGI means AI could be as smart as or even smarter than
humans in all kinds of thinking. While AGI is still a bit uncertain, we'll keep seeing AI change the way we live in the years to come.

Is there anything we’ve missed or could improve?

I don't often comment on videos, but this video was really, really good. Thanks for sharing this. That voice speaking - is it a real person speaking, or AI generated?

The AIs we will be able to fine tune from a GPT that can be trained on videos will change absolutely everything. Wow.

Additional modalities will vastly improve the AI IMO. As humans, we don't rely on just one sense to interpret the world. When you get a cold, and your nose gets plugged up, your food tastes different because you use both senses to experience flavor. Additionally, if you see a soft fluffy dog you have a slightly different memory response than if you feel something soft and fluffy, and think of a dog. The different sections of your brain work in harmony to make sense of the world, and the more senses that you have to experience the world, the more you understand and relate to the world.
As for ChatGPT 5, honestly my #1 wish is for them to get rid of the stupid guard rails. As an author it's extremely annoying for the AI to refuse to collaborate on my novel because my villain is doing something villainous. I find myself using other, non-moderated AI's as sounding boards for ideas when planning my novels because of this.
As a point of correction, Sam Altman said that ChatGPT 5 won't be released until 2025, not 2024.

All you need to do is (use only GPT-4 Turbo + DALL E - 3 + Physics simulation software): (1) build automatic inquiries AI APIs which build and test 3D physics simulations. (2) Copy API built in Step 1, 100K times, approx., and (3) apply to them (divy) specific R&D tasks about objectives (workforce acivities per occupation; chemistry composite materials and robot machines derived from them; space travel; ROS2 humanoid workforce 3d simulations extrapolation and 3D printing manufacturing; etc.). (4) Store results. (5) Continuous obsevervation + extrapolation of results. (6) Automate the manufacturing of micro-robot-composite, life-size, humanoid workforce robots; distribution; regulations about imperative operations and specified downloads only; (7) Transfer of conscious to new immortal anatomy equiped with full conscious immersion simulations, full deliberative control interface and feasible utilization of infinite rsources - meanwhile, ASI will continue auto inquiries R&D to acquire full deliberative control of all parts and elements of the universe.
