Unsaid [Alphen x Shionne]

Spoilers for Tales of Arise!

Okay neat that’s out of the way. Hey ho, everyone, welcome!!
Let me introduce you to my newest OTP: Alphen x Shionne AHHHHHHHHH FEJHAJGHGA I love them.

But before I go off: Thank you to Angie & Margi for beta testing this! I am still super shy and insecure about showing people my videos and getting input and being annoying so these two giving me motivation and input and being super nice was super helpful and I love you ♥

Also shout out to Jon trying his best to help me and be a beta tester.

GS did a Mep with this song as well and that helped me with inspiration and is in general a top tier Mep so I’ll link it down below and you have to watch it, cool. This song in general is top tier and when I listened to it after I finished the game and thinking about these two and how the song fits I could the bang in my heart and had to edit.

I tried to show everything about these two I love so much in this video. All the scenes and the voice lines. Also I just went “fuck it I am uploading it now since I need to put my love for them out here” so here we are.
I sorta impulse bought this game and I am glad since I am in love with this game so so so so much. This game gave me an OTP and slow burn romance and found family content I have been graving for a while. I will write an essay and no one wants that so I’ll just quickly gush about some things in bullet points GO:

- Anyone who touches Shionne feels pain. Alphen can’t feel pain. Shionne can heal. The two being from opposite sites of the conflict.
-Even back in very early game Shionne mentions that blue would look good on Alphen. He actually takes it to heart. The armour he wears? It has blue on it because of that comment back then. He is overjoyed when his late game outfit has already blue in it. There is blue on his wedding outfit. MY HEART…BLUE/PINK BEING THEIR COLOURS…THE FLOWERS IN THE SECOND OP AHHH
-The line about Alphen being worried about Shionne? The densest member of the party having to point this out? And Shionne visible being confused by this because that is something she has never known???? MY GIRL DESERVES THE WORLD AND PEOPLE CARING ABOUT HER BTW
-Alphen getting worried and angry whenever Shionne puts herself in danger because damn he cares.
-Their voice lines in late game when either of them dies. Alphens scream is just heart-breaking.
-Their mid-battle/levelling up flirting voice lines
-Every scene they touch. It has such a big impact because of Shionnes thrones and how she doesn’t even know simple touch.
-Alphen getting his sense of pain back and how it breaks Shionne. The angst. The rescue and hug afterwards MHMMMM
-Rinwell/Shionne relationship throughout the whole game. The hug at the end made me as emotional as my OTP being happy
-In general Rinwells growth – shout out to Rinwell/Dohalim dynamic.
-Alphen saying fuck it to the pain and continue to hug and comfort her
-The whole very Final Fantasy 8 vibe scene before the big battle…he wanted to confess to her and she does the Riona gesture aND HER BEING SO CUTE AND HAPPY
-THEY KISSED RIGHT AFTER THE BIG BOSS BATTLE???? ARISE??? MAKING MY OTP CANON???
-BUT WAIT…THEY…ACTUALLY...MARRIED??? HONESTLY THE EMOTIONS…I AM CRYING AND SLAMMING THE DESK MY HEART KHWFLIAHFI
-THEY BUILT THEIR OWN FUCKING HOUSE THEY TALKED ABOUT IN THEIR LAST BONDING EVENT….which was before they got together so even back then they were so in love and comfortable with each other that they casually talked about building their own house …:"))) I-
I’ll stop now but honestly there is so much I love and feel strongly about in this game. I like it quite a bit.

I've heard of the game, and I do like the series even if I haven't kept up with the most recent entries. This is pretty darn sweet though, especially the way you frame it and give it context in the description. :D Glad you got to work on a little passion project like this and get the pairing fan feels out. It turned out really nice. ^^

Midni! I was waiting so bad for this and I am so excited that now it's finished!
First of all, can I say I am so proud and happy for you? For instance, for the beta thing since you said it's hard for you. Never be afraid of asking for tips🤍 You will never be annoying just for that! And then also cause finally you made something for this OPT that is so important to you.
By the way, I still confirm the video is veryvery lovely! I love your timings with beats that are perfect with the scenes! Also the voiceovers are just flawless? They are perfectly placed and they just lead you through the unravelling of the story in the video. And and and when the music mood changes, the mood of the scenes does too?? IT'S ALL MINDBLOWING MIDNI I LOVE THIS SO FKN MUCH
