How can we say MTBF is 1 year if the system failed 20 times in 1 year? Shouldn't we say MTBF is x1 year divide by 20 to get average of 18.5 days as we don't have dates of accurance?

in the second math in MTBF you multiply by 24 hour but in the last math you do nothing for
