While doing some research, I came across a fascinating and very early demo for the Commodore Plus/4. I’ll be showing it to you shortly, running on real hardware.
Let’s take a moment to reflect on the history. The Commodore Plus/4 was released in June 1984 as a follow-up to the legendary Commodore 64. It was aimed at home users, students, and small businesses, with an initial price of $299.
Now, here’s what makes this demo remarkable: it was partly created in November 1983—seven months before the Plus/4 officially launched. Back then, the system was still in development and was even shown at the January 1984 CES in Las Vegas as a prototype called the "Commodore 444."
This demo could very well be one of the first ever made for the Plus/4. It’s even possible that it was part of the presentation at CES that year, helping to introduce the system to the world.
