And without naming names, he so eloquently eluded to Cancun Cruz as one who's jackassery was so willingly displayed.

Sasse couldn't have summed this up better... Whether you are avDemocrat or Republican, conservative or liberal, kudos for Sasse for using his time to bring forth this as well as his being professional, kind, and level headed... (not that these shouldn't be requirements of any public official let alone any human being.)

"Jackassery". I must remember this word. ☺ Thank you, Senator Sasse.

Wow, Senator Sasse, it is good to watch and listen to a grown up, even though a Republican, this is how politicians should behave no matter what party they represent.

Wow he certainly got it right. Finally a gentleman who puts country first.

Exactly on point. Hopefully a majority of the American population understands that political theater is exactly that, political theater.

He should have clarified that most of the jackassery emanates from his GOP colleagues. Lindsey Graham and Ted Cruz made that pretty plain in the past several days.

I could not have said it any better. What I found eye catching was Ted Cruz's faces when Senator Sasse called the performances of his peers as "jackassery."

“This court is a mockery! And if it’s not I’ll make it one!” - Republicans

He nailed it. TV cameras in the courtroom are a bad idea in practice.

Ted and Ketanji at their Harvard class reunion: Ted, "I'm a Senator best known for my jackassery." Ketanji, "I'm a Supreme Court Justice, because I took my education seriously."

Sasse should be in the mix for presidential run. Dude makes sense, he’s smart, funny, all of it. More people like this is congress

Points given for the best description given for his colleagues’ theatrics, but I’ll withhold my applause for Sasse until I see how he votes for this qualified SC candidate!

I really am liking the common sense of this guy.

I don't know anything about Sasse, but that was an eloquent and informed discussion about cameras in the courtroom. He appears to be well-educated and articulate, not having fallen into the "stupid is the new GOP smart" bucket, made up mostly of Trump boot lickers. . Based on that alone I'm guessing he's not a Trumper. If we have to have Republicans, please let them be normal like this guy at least seems to be.

Thank you!. I felt like crying with what they were doing to her. And to see Ted Cruz litterally googled his own name afterwards too. Shameless.

Cruz acted like a spoiled bully- jackassery. Considering his unwillingness to allow her to answer, it appears he was performing for the cameras. Gosh it was such an irritating, nail on the chalkboard, kind of performance.
