Very good looking indeed, but I would have preferred a brushed case, as you pointed out.

James, you are the best reviewer on the web, bar none! Clear, concise, well spoken, eloquent, informative, comprehensive, and everything else you could want in a watch reviewer. Excellent review as always, sir. And a lovely watch to boot!

Why would they pay homage to a military oriented timepiece, and give the case such a brilliant shine? In a tactical setting, the reflection gives the wearer an unwanted signature. If they increased the water resistance, and gave it a DLC, or brushed finish, this would be a epic tactical timepiece.

I recently (1 month ago) Purchase the Heritage Military 1938 and am very happy with it. So Longines is really a very good alternatie.

I love this kind of sterile/austere styling. I hope a larger version is made available. this watch as a 44mm bead blasted finish would be perfect for me. great review btw.

Your videos are so much better than Ariel's. I don't get why he can't even get a lume shot on any review he's done.

good video - thanks
I hate what this swatch and other 'groups' are doing to a great brands .. why every watch have automatic and date ? .. especially heritage models ! .. why the original design is better then new one ? ... polished case ...30m ?

Seems like a screw-down crown would be a must on such a utilitarian design. But I guess Hamilton doesn't have it on any of their field watches either, unfortunately. Really like the clean straight-forward design. If it had SDC and shorter L to L I'd be all over it. Looks like you could put almost any strap on that thing and it would look amazing.

Very nice watch. I'd love to have one of those. Thanks for sharing this video and cheers from Chile.

I like the old model much better. As it doesn't has a date window. And that Arrow point on the seconds hand is a nice tough.

ETA uses Valgranges quite extensively with new Longines models nowadays, disappointing that they are going back to 28XX movements.

It is also pretty ridiculous that a military style on a nato is watch is rated at only 30m w/r. It looks tough and rugged but is in no way fit for any outdoor activity or active wear. Heck, the military watches Longines had supplied in the past were more waterproof...

52mm lug-to-lug and 30m wr? lol
It's a flashy fashion watch that looks like a wall clock on a wrist.

How is his better than the Hamilton Khaki Field Officer Mechanical?

Something special about the COSD. I can't seem to take mine off.

Hi James - great video, very well done... but please say "LONN-ZHEEN" without the 'S' at the end! :)

Otherwise really helpful - thank you!

the 52.1mm lug to lug makes this watch absolutely ridiculous.

30 m water resistance? Okay, it's not a sporty watch. It's a fashion watch with a sporty pretense.
