it starts when Chinese government wanted every returning US diplomatic staffs in Wuhan to have COVID-19 test and quarantine, but it said US has strongly refused to do any tests or quarantine at all (same problem happened in Japan and Korea, US soldiers and diplomatic staffs who has infected spread virus everywhere), i guess US worries that personal information might be records, "information collector" could be monitored and it's bad for later operations.
in Chinese side, diplomatic personal information collection might be not important than avoiding few potential virus carriers to spread virus in one of major cities in China. Especially when these people has diplomatic privilege....

If you want to travel to China right now, everyone needs to be quarantined in the hotel for 2 weeks. US wants to send ppl to their consulate in Wuhan but they don’t want to be quarantined. China refused this request. That’s part of the reasons. But really it’s all for the election.

Documents burning was the result of closure order not the cause. They only have 72 hours to leave and were destroying documents for security reasons.

This is not even creative tactic. US did the same thing to Russia in 2018. It had abosulte zero effect on anything.

Correction.... papers being burned ON TOP OF THE BUILDING. Then, they would not let the fire department in. They had to stand by and hope it didn't get out of control.

I'm not a Trump guy but I'm in total agreement with Trump on this issue. There has been a large sucking sound of jobs and intellectual property rights from China. What we shouldn't forget is the amount of blame to CEO's who shipped jobs off to China in order to cut costs thereby giving themselves larger bonuses. Additional, Congress has done NOTHING about these issues ever therefore blame truly rests on their shoulders. We don't correct these trade imbalance issues ASAP and there won't be anything left of this Country. Think....70% of our GDP is based on consumer consumption, usually of Chinese made products. We pride ourselves on all of the jobs that were created in the last 4-5 years but don't forget, 48% of those jobs paid under $42K/year and 29% paid under $18K/year. Warehouse jobs, Grubhub and Uber driver jobs with very little benefits is what we've had. The middle class is going away. We need wholesale changes in this Country. We're 16th in the world on educating our kids, the wealthy have increased their wealth to extreme measures and yet, sadly we focus on football and baseball, teams owned by billionaires who allowed tax benefits we only wish the middle class had.

First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win. Let's see if Mahatma Gandhi's words are correct.
