Milwaukee, Makita, Rigid, and FLEX hammer drill users will be as surprised as me because I did not expect THIS performance from the new Dewalt XR hammer drill. Has there been a breakthrough in tool innovation?

Welcome to VCG Construction! In this action-packed highlight reel from our latest Tool Test RAW livestream, we compare the brand new DeWALT 20V MAX XR Hammer Drill against the Milwaukee M18 Fuel Hammer Drill in a series of intense tests. Vince puts these powerhouse hammer drills through their paces, pushing them to the limit to see which one truly dominates in performance, power, and durability.

Watch as the DeWALT XR Hammer Drill surprises everyone with its incredible power and speed, despite being compared to Milwaukee's top contender. We drill through tough materials like wood, metal and concrete and demonstrate high-torque applications such as driving in very large screws and structural lag fasteners. This video showcases the strengths and weaknesses of each tool in real-world scenarios. Whether you're a DeWALT fan or a Milwaukee loyalist, this video is packed with valuable insights and thrilling moments you won't want to miss, all in an effort to make you a better informed tradesman when buying tools. Y'all should occasionally swap tools to remove the "operator variable."

The worst part is that Vince is faster handling his fasteners. The tools can't even keep up. If you had two Vinces half of Milwaukee wins would be ties or for Dewalt. 😆

Why do you test a million tiny fasteners with big hammer drills, why don't you let the DeWalt run on speed 2 where it would be beneficial and take advantage of the additional gear also why even bother comparing speed 1? Speed 1 isn't about speed it's about maximum torque. So a slower performance in the lowest gear might actually be slower because it's geared lower and therefore better at tasks where you need more torque.

Even if the Red one is better, i cannot switch due to all the batteries i own from the Yellow ones.

DeWALT and Milwaukee both reliable, both strong, both about same price, both get job done, you won't make an extra 1k just cause your drill is 1.5 seconds faster than mine.

These tests are not repeatable Vince is a better tool operator… he would win with dewalt too

Why does the faster drill get a point when they're in speed 1? Seems like if you're in speed 1 you want the drill to be slower.

9:24 you should have made sure the tool operators were level as well

Having the faster drill may nice but that doesn't mean the drill is better. I've never been on a job site and had to race anybody to see who has the faster drill. LOL

Glad I ordered the red one even before seeing this. Thanks for all the tool advice and demos guys

Shouldn't be limiting the tools to the gearbox number bc the DeWalt is slower with more torque in speed one but has more speed in speed three if you want to do a fair test you should do the test in the highest gear the drill can handle

I work in low voltage and this is pefect. Simple i like dewalt and also not heavy.

i think milwaukee won because vince. he seems to put a lot of downward pressure on the drill.

They are both such good looking hammer drill / drivers. I have the Dewalt already and may get the Milwaukee as well, as it is my primary battery platform.

Test it on hard metal. On wood all cheap cordless drill can make holes

I would love to see these run with drill augers for gardening or post holes. Also use them to mix a couple different mud type. Drywall mud, thin set, motor, self leveler, and concrete

Dewalt tools last longer plan and simple. Milwaukee tools run hot under heavier duties and burn up or start to under perform. Would be nice to see a longevity test, which is where Dewalt is king from my experience at least. I'm not trying to sound biased we use both brands our Dewalt tools always last longer.

I would love to see if Vince has that smile on his face if the other guy started using the flex drill instead of dewalt lol
