I had a lot of fun making this song and I'm happy with how it turned out so let me know what you guys think!!

I feel like there was almost too much to write about for the lyrics. There's luck, hope, talent, the events of the game, homosexual tendencies 👀, etc. I tried to fit a bit of it all in but I focused on luck and his utter lack of sanity with a healthy dose of HOPE so I HOPE it conveys that aspect of his character well!!

Just want to point out that some of the images in the video are low resolution because it's hard to find high quality sources, but I figured it would be fine since the majority is good and it's more about the music than anything. If it bothers you though let me know and I'll be more careful in the future.

I like how at 2:32 Nagito talks about the happy times while showing the cast, but when Hajime shows up he doesn't say anything since he learned that Hajime do not have any talent and therefore isn't of interest anymore

Edit: Specifically the 'like a roller-coaster that never ends, I keep thinking it'll crash, but the tracks just bend.' That line personifies' Nagito's life so well it's scary.

I love how this song just takes a deep dive into how Nagito felt during Danganronpa 2 and how his mindset is. How tragic his character is, how he is unsure of his own worth and wanting to live. How “controlling” luck is his only (and extremely unhealthy) way of coping. The lyric of “Like a roller coaster that never ends. I keep thinking that it’ll crash! but the tracks just bend.” That lyric really fits Nagito and his mindset.

I also love the subtle change at the end when he discovers the truth and decides to try to end the game by taking himself out with everyone but the traitor (Chiaki) going down with him. From saying “Lucky me!” To “Unlucky me…” is so subtle, and impactful. He’s trying to do what’s right, but his methods and ways of trying to do the right thing will always blow up in his face because of his belief in his luck system. His never ending cycle or good and bad luck.

I literally love this so much- it truely protrays Nagito's ideals! It goes from "I hope im sacrificed for hope, because thats all im good for" to "I will sacrifice myself for hope because thats all im good for" to finally, "I will be hope because of my sacrifice." Honestly, its a beautiful wording. Really goes to show how fucked up Nagito really is, yet how much the writers really did him justice.

this is a specific thing to praise but i love the use of “meaningless” in the lyrics!! a callback to what he said in chapter one!! “'Meaningless'... The lyrics are so good!!! I think everything after 2:10 is just golden, you showed Nagito's emotions about learning they were all despairs so well! I especially liked "I realized nothing here is real not those resolute ideals nor those blissful happy times nor the hope I thought I'd find" and the part where the lyrics change to "I keep wishing it'll crash". And my heart broke at the end, "It's too late to save me." Nagito is such a twisty, turning character, but you captured him perfectly in my opinion!! I really liked it!!!

I am going to be brutally honest when I say that this is one of my favorite instrumentals to a song in general. If I could describe the tone in one word, it would be turmoil. It's a weird mix of joy and deep disturbance at the same time. With Nagito's twisted ideology of achieving absolute righteousness in the name of hope, despair lingers within as he ignores the ethics of murder, disregards the outcome of his friends, and has difficulty differentiating right from wrong.

And how does he cope with this? He uses his self-hatred as a beacon for his fellow classmates to achieve their ultimate desire and pleasure: hope. But with his mind so warped, despair still manages to creep into every crevice, and the instrumental manages to do just that.

Sorry for this long analysis, but you should be proud of yourself. This is honestly so well-crafted and beautifully constructed!

I love how Nagito isn't washed into "Hope boy, loves bagels and Hajime also hair go brr haha" but actually precived as an actual complicated character that he is supposed to be. The majority of drV2 community just considers him as Hajime's malewife ngl
