In this video, I'm going to explain how to use external effects processors, such as Line 6 Helix (or any FX unit) to process and re-sample sounds into your MPC Live MK I and MK II , MPC X and AKAI Force.

The method does work for MPC one by connecting a usb interface. This gives the MPC all of the interfaces I/Os. I think this is a relatively recent update

I wish we could assign Effects send to outputs thins way you can still have your program on 1&2 and still send out to 3&4 for external effect on certain sounds... that would be a killer update

If you have the MPC One couldn’t you use another audio interface like a focusrite 6i6 to get all the I/Os you need?

you mention being able to use any 'stomp box' mono or stereo. How would this setup work with a mono pedal? what cables would you need to go stereo out to mono in?

Is there a way of recording the effect into an audio track instead of into the sampler? You can monitor this way but whenever i try recording I get nothing #workinprogress

You’ve made a mistake in the description about the MPC One..You’ve mentioned Stereo Input instead of Stereo Output..

Mpc live user manual indicate that inputs and outputs are for balanced trs cables, i can use unbalanced cables without problem? Thanks

I got the helix the big boy and I can't get it to work with my mpc x I followed everything in this video and its just not working for me.. I don't know why it has to be so complicated any suggestions please would help very Appreciated

Thanks for the video. Can you export stems with the processed audio on them (using the export feature) or do you have to resample them in order to have the processed sound?

Mpc one here…if I ran the MPC main outs to my mixer, mixer alt 3/4 outs to a guitar pedal, guitar pedal back to mixer, mixer main out to monitors/mixer secondary out to MPC ins…would I just resample and listen through mixer headphone out?

This is great thank you! I've tried it on my mpc live 2 and it sounds amazing! I was wondering of how do you get to record the sound coming from the pedal. because at the end all you get is the dry signal from the recording if the pedal isn't connected anymore. Is there a way around this? Thanks.
