Oprah Winfrey Admits To Be Using Weight-Loss Medication

Oprah Winfrey is getting real about her weight. In a new interview with People for their December cover story, the media mogul, 69, revealed she recently added a weight loss medication to her existing "holistic approach" to dieting and exercising. Oprah did not disclose the name of the medication she is currently taking but did share how it makes a great addition to her health journey. "I now use it as I feel I need it, as a tool to manage not yo-yoing...The fact that there's a medically approved prescription for managing weight and staying healthier, in my lifetime, feels like relief, like redemption, like a gift, and not something to hide behind and once again be ridiculed for. I'm absolutely done with the shaming from other people and particularly myself," she said. "The Color Purple" producer also debunked some swirling myths about recent weight-loss drugs, revealing how individuals who take them still need to work on other aspects of their health.

Oh, please - she's taking Ozempic like everybody else....the "fact" that they're not identifying what the "medically approved prescription is" means - it's Ozempic.

First she throws out an insult to people who aren’t rich and can not afford the high priced healthier foods, or even have access to them, then had to admit she took Ozempic like all the rich people do, making a dangerous shortage for diabetics ( people who actually need the drug) while these lazy rich dips use it. Since Weight Watchers is promoting a diet drug and the stocks took a hit with her comment, she back peddled. Just another lie.

WW’s should probably not use her as their spokesperson going forward, even though she owns a major part of the company, or did. I don’t think you should try to sell a point system that’s healthy for losing weight, then also saying you’re taking medication to help, which is probably not even available or financially affordable for the clientele.

It aways amazes me when individual who takes the drug says similar things such as the drug "quiet the food noise". I never knew how some obese people struggle with leaving food alone. These drugs are like a mental illness drugs for food addicts. I am glad that there is help for them now. Nobody should have to live like that
