Why is it so hard for politicians to realize that new corporate taxes are just paid by schlubs like you and me? Do these people honestly think that the corporate big wigs say, "Welp, they've raised our taxes, so we'll all take some pay cuts at the officer level in order to pay for it!"? Every single corporation everywhere in the US just says, "Increase prices by the difference between the old tax rate and the new rate. All our competitors will do the same thing so we'll still be market-nimble after the price increase."

What if we ended the 83 federal means tested welfare programs which when added to by states totals $1.3 trillion dollars a year? Would prices come down? What if we stopped the $120 + billion dollars we spend on illegals? What if we cut the defense department by a couple of hundred billion dollars? Could we lower taxes instead of raising taxes? We don’t have an income problem - we have a spending problem. End the FED!
