It's such a shame they never played the best part of the original version - Alan's outro - live! That sinister and doomy electronic baseline at the end of the song is what made the Depeche-sound so unique back in the days.

Beautiful song. This version is almost into lullaby territory though.

Strangely the weakest of the solo bits from recent times.

Doesn't carry the troubling lyrical weight of the song. Martin's songs are sublime...covering both aspects of joy and fears. This arrangement doesn't work imho.
