I bought this amp when I started a band about 7 years ago. The reason I got this amp was, just in case I may play live one day, I wanted to be prepared. I payed $175 bucks for this on Kijiji, (Cdn dollars) and was the best amp that I have ever had. Couldn't afford a tube amp, so this was the next best thing. For a solid state amp, this amp is loud and packs a punch. The chorus on this is the best effect that I have ever heard. It's warm, full of colour and depth. A true RUSH sound!!!! The distortion is great, but not the sound that I wanted. I play with a LTD guitar with a Boss Metal Core as my distortion and the tones and sounds just blew me away. This amp is priceless. If you ever find one of these jem's, grab it and keep it. It's the only amp that you will ever need.

I was out and about at the pawn shops today and ran across one of these.
$150 bucks.
Thanks for the review!
I'm taking my son to pick it up this evening for him.

my father gave it to me when i turned 12 i had to earn it though i had to play sad but true from metalica without mistake in order to receive the amp, i did so on my 12th bday! best gift ever! still play it from time to time great amp for that grunge sound!
with a few hundred dollars of foot pedals and pedal boards the amp can sound pretty saucy!

Not sure how I got here but awesome video. Took me for a stroll down memory lane.

I worked all summer after turning 15 to buy this amp and a Zoom 3030 pedal so I could finally replace my crappy 80s Crate and start a band.

This amp changed my life.

Love metal and played it for years but my love for more melodic sounds definitely found a home with your acoustic stuff! I have had one of these for decades and never will give it up! Nice work man!

I bought a used one last year for $200 and I have to say, it's easily the best 2x12/amp I've ever had. I was using  my Marshall JTM60 and Crate Blue VooDoo stack but at this point, can never go back because their cleans aren't nearly as crystal. The Ultimate Chorus is absolutely fantastic. Especially its' cleans. It blows my Marshall and Crate out of the water to which are now for sale. I can never go back.

I've had mine since the late 90s, yes, loud, but lovely clean sound, and versatile.

Ive owned this amp for almost 20 years. The cleans are so so good on this. The only downside is the sub par drive channel and the inPuts have a tendency to glitch out and have loose connections. The chorus AND reverb are both excellent. I have two small Marshall practice amps but never felt the need to upgrade to something bigger.

i got my ultimate chorus for FREE, my friend just gave it to me cause he had no use for it anymore. i was more than stoked to get my hands on a proper good amp after having a dingy little 10watt amp for my first year of playing guitar. And tbh that amp was BAD but the pedal i had made it sound a lot better. But this thing rocks and i love it. I'm definitely gonna keep this thing till it burns to the ground.

Bought my ultimate chorus brand new in ‘97. The headroom on this amp makes it a great pedalboard slayer. The chorus is phenomenal. Better than most chorus pedals that cost as much as the amp used!!! Pick it up if you come across one. Stay away from the newer DSP model though.

Hi. Late to the party. Beautiful playing. What are you playing at 6.20 ? The sound and playing are heart melting. Good job 😊

If you have the means, I highly suggest picking one up. The cleans are amazingly clear and it's got a really nice dirty sound. This thing is great for any kind of music you're thinking of playing. It gets LOUD. Works great with an additional overdrive pedal for straight up metal magic. Sounds amazing with my 94 MIM Strat.

I've had the Ultra Chorus amp since 1995 and I've always loved how clean it sounds. It is a loud amp so I'm never really above 1.5. The drive channel isn't as good but overall this amp has held up very well.

i bought one of these last weekend for $180 after my marshall 50watt combo died. i can say this beats what i had before and probably what i was going to settle for (i dnt really dig all the digital stuff on amps i just want knobs and buttons) . the clean is so cystally clean and the reverb is better than what my previous marshall had. the dirty channel is a little muddier but the clean channel and some pedals will do perfect. the chorus blew me away!! im not a big chorus fan, had a multi effect boss pedal that had it but couldnt find anything i liked with a chorus until this chorus. idk what it is but it always on now. i hope they didnt discontinue these amps cause im sold. 10/10 amp you wont regret buying this if u can find it

Very clean!! My screen is damaged from too many gigs, but the sound is killer. I bought new in '95 and it is still my favorite.

Just got one for $180. Old solid state amps are the shit. The analog components they used gives the sound a warmth that today’s solid state stuff typically lacks. I have a Peavey Stereo Chorus 400 and it’s also got loud and beautiful cleans, albeit a little different than the fender.
