Swami Sarvapriyananda teaches Verses 30-31 from the second chapter of the Bhagavad Gita. This series of talks unfolds the highest truths of Vedanta through the study of "The song of God".

🔆Bhagavad Gita: Chapter 2, Verse 30:
dehī nityam avadhyo ’yaṁ dehe sarvasya bhārata
tasmāt sarvāṇi bhūtāni na tvaṁ śhochitum arhasi
🪔This embodied Self (dwelling) in the bodies of all, O Bharata prince! is eternally indestructible. Therefore you ought not to grieve for any being at all.

🔆Bhagavad Gita: Chapter 2, Verse 31:
swa-dharmam api chāvekṣhya na vikampitum arhasi
dharmyāddhi yuddhāch chhreyo ’nyat kṣhatriyasya na vidyate
🪔Having regard to the law of your own life, you ought not to be perturbed. A Ksatriya cannot have a greater good than a righteous battle.

i think the major problem is that it is a very decisive battle, ultimate, all or none sort of situation which Arjun was not mentally and emotionally prepared for. when anyone is faced with such situations once in a while unprepared, it does cause a lot of anguish

O Bhårata, the soul dwelling within the bodies of all living beings is eternal and cannot be slain. Therefore, you need lament for no one.

धर्म्याद्धि न विद्यते || 31||
Moreover, considering your natural duty, you have no
reason to waver, since there is no action more auspicious
for a warrior than a battle for justice.
