Problem with italy is that they are in africa, defend germany and help them push against soviets, also divide their attention to naval combat, when they have just too many disadvatages.
Not to mention their country is so small and can be navaled everywhere.

They haven't capped yet because they have control of the North of Italy and the Caucasus

I just bought the game and play with a mate coop. He plays germany, I Italy. So far we restarted 3 times, because I wasnt even able to secure Etiopia...

Today I watched a couple of hours off guides and started a solo campaing and played until summer '37 and even got all the important milestones earlier than the dude making the guide.

Bud should have put his entire army on garrison. Probably wouldn't have changed much though seeing as Italy probably lost a bunch of equipment in Ethiopia and lost most of his army to allies in africa

If the allies still have North Africa after 42 Italy is almost guaranteed to cap. It is simply too much shore line and angles of attack to do anything about it
