I have been listening this song ever since I was 10 years old. Now I m 67 years old still listening and never tired of . I have never heard of this beautiful song sung by beautiful voice. Not only the sound and the voice is amazing but also the writer can reveal the essence of life to find the peace of mind .

I have never heard this beautiful lady sing Crying in the chapel till just now. Wow! my grandfather would have loved her version. I'm Cliff Glenn, Artie Glenn's oldest grandson. My grandfather actually wrote this song in 1951, stuck it in a drawer for 2 years, untill my dad, Darrell Glenn recorded it in 1953. I've heard an unbelievable amount of different versions in my life, encluding my own. but never one soooo beautiful, "sorry dad, and Elvis. is this lady single by any chance, lol!

I just recently discovered Sissel on YouTube. All that I can say is -- I Love You Sissel !!! Truly God Has Sent To Us One Of His Angels -- Full Of Charm, Beauty And Grace -- Accompanied By The Voice Of A Heavenly Choir --To Share His Gift Of Music With Us !!

Surely she gives us the answer for ALL of mankind's needs in this song, "You'll search and you'll search but you'll never find, any way on earth to gain peace of mind. Take your troubles to the Chapel (God), get down on your knees and pray - then your burdens will be lighter, and you will surely find the (His) Way !!"

As she notes in her "talk" for this video, "If you can not find peace within yourself, you will not find it any place else". So true - how many search EVERYWHERE else, only to NEVER find it at all !!!

I pray with ALL of my heart that she has discovered THIS Way for herself !! As she sings in another of her truly memorable and unique performances, "Oh Happy Day - when Jesus washed all of my sins away".

I love listening to Sissel sing this one. It showcases her voice beautifully, especially her lovely upper register. And I love the fact that she just sings, no window dressing needed. She is also always a proper lady, which is much appreciated.
