The M2 15 inch air I have it for over 5+ months now close to a year and it’s an absolute beast! I only maxed out the RAM to 24gb ram with 256gb SSD cause i don’t really see a difference with the speeds and I always don’t mind the waiting on the downloads anyway since I’m doing something else to keep me busy. Overall, I’m very satisfied with it! Use multiple tabs, have photoshop open while watching a stream or YouTube, pretty much have multiple applications open and the 24gb ram REALLY helps to not wear out the SSD swap or MacBook itself, absolute powerful machine!

I was hoping for the 16gb version for this video as it also has the extra two GPU cores I think. However this will still be a very interesting video with so many people getting the base model. I'm so pleased that it can now be purchased at other retailers. I'm considering going to that version from my 2020 13 M1 MacBook Pro. I love how the advertising material mentions Baldur's Gate 3, so it should!

midnight color is clearly still a fingerprint magnet. Yes its better, but if youre ocd about that stuff ide still stay far away. The space gray also has the treatment and is much less prone to fingerprints already

The new Macbook Air M3 15" 16GB/512GB is similarly priced with Macbook Pro M3 14" 16GB/512GB. Despite the 1" monitor size difference, in terms of performance in everyday use, with main tasks photo editing and web development (using sometimes Virtual Machines with Parallels), which one would somebody suggest? Should any of them perform better for that tasks?

FWIW.. I owned an m2 air in midnight for a few months before upgrading to a black m3pro and the pro is only marginally better when it comes to the fingerprint dept. I was wiping down my air every day or two and i still do the same with my pro. It is slightly more resistant, but again, only marginally so.
