Video clip (taken in early October 2010) of a Acer triflorum .

Rare (in the UK) maple species native to northern China and Korea, Acer triflorum has beautiful deeply-fissured bark a little similar to that of Acer griseum and spectacular yellow, orange and red autumn colour.

Fairly inconspicuous greenish-yellow flowers appear in April in clusters of three, hence its name.

Location: Bluebell Arboretum and Nursery, Derbyshire, UK

Wonderful ornamental tree with beautiful foliage and exfoliating bark which can fit in a small garden. Also very rare in North America.
