It's crazy reading how some people are trying to defend this latest song by saying that it's only a joke and shouldn't be taken as seriously as the tracks made during the beef. This shows how these delulu stans are missing the point because it's not that the song isn't serious that's the problem; the problem is that despite it being a "joke song, " it ISN'T FUNNY. It's a song meant to be laughed with, but instead most listeners are laughing AT it (and especially at Drake).

Anybody who was claiming that the beef would do nothing to Drake is objectively wrong lol. In the last month, Drake has proven Kendrick’s points about being a manipulator, not being original, hoping onto waves, annoying people with accents, and most of all, just having no self awareness (trying to get in on the joke by hopping on bbl drizzy on a sexy redd song not understanding we’re laughing at him, not with him). You could argue these things were always happening, sure. But the difference now is that his fans truly are looking at him differently, and can’t defend him like they always try with everything happening right now lmao. You can tell he’s trying to figure out what to do next, and nothing’s sticking right now. We’ll see what happens, but this beef definitely damaged Drake a bit.

I was actually really looking forward to whatever he did once this beef was done. Cause now he has a reason to show everyone why he deserves to be where he is in music after he went the hardest he had in years. But these follow ups have been so disappointing.
