You should also put into consideration that NY is very expensive to live in while Dallas is cheap in comparision. Also the tuition cost of NYU is much higher than UTD. That $5000 per year scholarship will be like nothing when you compare the tuition prices.

I never recommend UTD to anyone because with their class size big, its a mela of Indian students.

I don't understand why these universities are so CPI centric. Don't they consider college tiers? I am from IIIT and here even my class topper has border 9 CPI. Rest of the class has below 9 cpi and ofcourse it is difficult to get marks than other tier 3 private colleges

Dude I got in utd easy. I had 2 years of work experience, plus 2 years of volunteering experience. My gpa was 3.5 and I was a transfer from a community College. I applied to utd and received my acceptance email 2 weeks later.

Refrain from drawing conclusions that could discourage others. Beyond just the CGPA and GRE scores, the evaluation process also weighs heavily on resumes and personal statements.

I think this is because everyone is blindly applying to udt. I don't it is worth anymore.
