Nice teamkills at 4:08 with the Decimator. I thought I was the only one doing this in PS2 :). I feel a bit better now... Great video as always

I think an important thing to note is that in any mid sized dev company, it's not like a the whole dev team is working on one thing. When you say that the 'dev team wanted something more relaxed and work on some new weapons', this is basically just Wrel giving the go-ahead to an employee who brought this idea forward and when said employee has finished his project, Wrel will review this and potentially put it in the game. There is a group working on every aspect of the game; visuals, bug fixing, etc.

The reasoning behind the AA version archer, is because of the faction-specific launchers. Strikers and lancers can be used from valkyries, and yes, it is a bit of a balance issue tbh.

idk man. There is soo much AA already. Flying ESF's is already restricted to 12-24 or less population fights, and that's when running with flares. This gun uses flak, which means you can't even pop flares to avoid it. It has 3m wide projectiles as well, and shoots almost twice as fast as normal flak. I don't know if any of the devs fly, and I appreciate that they are looking at the balance in terms of AA, but this ain't it..

The Lancer is OP with air. NC doesn't have nothing for ground to air.

Yeah, if you're a pilot getting killed by Lancers, then you're just a bad pilot. Imagine a low velocity Archer(AMR) round that fires 4 seconds AFTER you pull the trigger.... that's what using a Lancer for AA is like.

i wished there would be more faction flavor yes, it should be one of the main priorities. and the good old "victim" mentality coming from vanu
if you want all 3 factions to be the same, you don't know what planetside is

Lancer doesn't lock on, it charges up. Can nearly 1 hit kill a esf -- and if that esf isn't using fire suppression (most likely flares) it will 1 hit kill them.

Was kind of hoping you'd hop onto the PTS and test the weapons, since the patch notes are really vague about how they actually perform.

As an effort in hopefully getting some support for a MBT balance pass and just in general being a salty old VS player, I want to point out that the first clip of the Magrider killing a Vanguard is very much not how it would have gone if the Vanguard was not already very damaged before the fight started.

Vanguard took two front hits with the shield up and two front hits with the shield down, with the second of these killing it. Basically the Magrider here only did some 2992 damage to the Vanguard and would have needed to hit it 3(!) more times to kill it if the Vanguard had been at full health. Obviously the Vanguard would have won that seeing how close the fight was with the Magrider being 1 shot away from death at the end.

Similarly a Prowler in that situation and range would have slapped the Magrider all over the place as well.

Sniper tank/heavy Harasser as a faction MBT is not ideal and the user stats shows it as well with the Magrider being used ~40% less on a daily basis compared to either the Vanguard or Prowler(Stat for Unique users for all the MBT primary weapons = around 740ish Magrider drivers to 1200ish Vanguard and Prowler users).
