AB = 12cm
CB = 10cm
PERPENDICULAR = ?

Consider a line between chord and radius as it make a prependicular line to i ( AB ), & name the point as Point D

Finding the measurement Of SEG DB
l ( DB ) = 1/2 * Length of SEG AB
= 12/2
= 6 cm

by pythagoras theorem,
( hypt )^2 = (base )^2 + ( height )^2
(CB )^2 = ( DB )^2 + ( DC )^2
( 10 )^2 = ( 6 )^2 + ( DC )^2
100 = 36 + ( DC )^2
64 = ( DC )^2
square root of 64 = ( DC )
8cm = ( DC )
