Ancient Lyre - King Lyre of Pan (9 strings) - LUTHIEROS

Показать описание
“I Call strong Pan, the substance of the whole, etherial, marine, earthly, general soul, Immortal fire.” – Orphic Hymn to Pan
From time to time, we manage to discover quite impressive, truly beautiful long animal horns, by animals that have passed away due to natural causes. This is a very rare situation, as we always use only what nature “gives” us at any given time. The “King Lyre of Pan” is on the top of every other Kylix lyre as we use the best materials available each time!
This is a replica of a chelys lyre, named after the ancient god Pan. According to ancient Greek mythology, Pan was the god of the wild, companion of the nymphs, and he is depicted having hindquarters, legs, and horns of a goat, in the same manner as a faun or a satyr. Satyrs were followers of Dionysus (god of wine), and they are usually depicted in scenes of love and even orgies.
The Lyre of Pan is part of LUTHIEROS kylix lyres family. What differentiates kylix lyres from other ancient replicas is their primitive and genuine design, with a tortoiseshell replica for a soundbox, animal horns for arms, skin for the soundboard, etc. Every one of these lyres is one-of-a-kind, as there are no two pairs of animal horns that can be the same.
LUTHIEROS King Lyre of Pan has 7 or 9 strings, and so it gives more than a full octave, making an ideal instrument for anyone willing to focus on the ancient musical heritage. Whatsmore, with the use of harmonics and other advanced playing techniques, the King Lyre of Pan can produce three to four full octaves, including sharps!
