Come along for some HOT Summer Bass Fishing! Tim and JD are back on the water and the bass are biting! They're exploring shallow, grassy coves with topwater and Tim is teaching JD as they go. From cast angles to subtle bait entry into the water, there are some knowledge gems amongst the fish catches.

Summer heat can be brutal! Scorching Summer temperatures seem to have come early this year, and while it may be uncomfortable to fish in, the bass are biting! Let the high temperatures work for you, as bass position around shade edges. The guys were able to capitalize with a variety of topwater baits, with the occasional dropshot fish mixed in.

Below you'll find links to the exact baits and gear they used used throughout the day. We've also included some great budget–friendly combos for the angler who wants to fish these techniques effectively without spending excessively on the gear. All the links go directly to Tackle Warehouse where you can see detailed photos and descriptions of each item.

Really good job on keeping the hooks away from JD when he got finned. He didn’t realize the trebles would have gotten him worse there. Dang good dad! Very similar to my son made me laugh 😂

JD is so lucky to have such a talented dad / teacher showing him how to fish. My dad took me but it was cane pole for bluegill.

Man great video footage on the areas that you two are fishing, and it’s an absolutely enjoyment to see farther and son fishing, and teaching different techniques. That was really nice to see

It's great to see you and your son out on the river with so many things to try. You give me hope to catch one on a frog around here. Been trying without any success but will keep going.

Man Tim, your boy is so blessed to have a dad taking him out fishing...and not just any dad, Tim Little, teaching him to be a hammer!
My dad promised to take me for years, but overtime, or whatever always came up, so I had to teach myself (casting at buckets and whatnot). Having a dad who knows what they're doing steepest that learning curve for sure! I've done ok, but the memories you're making are priceless!

Dumped a 6 on a frog this past weekend after a long hot grinder that was hooked well. Rarely ever happens with a frog but when it does it always seems to be a big one! 😂😭🎣

That's fishing!

Great video, thank you! Very relatable for the "average" angler with a boat. Nice to see some real fishing with a kid using a handful of lures. Great tips and teaching moments too! Get your digits away from those trebles and use pliers, son!!

Great father and son duo! I love the casting tips! Can you guys please make a separate video dedicated to beginner and advanced casting techniques? Could even be two separate videos.

Great video! I had such a great catch last night here in New Hampshire. When I was just about to call it quits and bring the boat in, a 4 lb 14 oz largemouth came up and smashed my whopper plopper. I got it in my net after It put up a great fight. It was so dark I could barely see anything because I forgot my headlamp.

Funny coincidence, not 5 hours ago I just caught my new PB on frog.

It was super hot these last two days on Vancouver Island, and I knew I'd get a good topwater night bite so I bought a frog (all my tackle got stolen so I just buy a couple lures for each season) and I pitch a perfect cast in the juciest spot. I just have a 6th sense when one is gonna hit. Sure enough it's a 9 pounder. Just engulfed it and folded my rod over.

I love late june/early july night topwater. I always get the giants this time of year. During pre spawn that bass would've been the Canadian record.
