I love the "cogito" formulation of African Philosopher, John Mbiti, which sums up the social brain/mind for me:
"I am because we are, and since we are, therefore I am."

there's a simple explanation to the pushing the person on the train surely and that is if he can push him onto the train surely he can just throw himself onto the train instead. intuitively visually most circumstances where you need to physically push someone onto something surely you're probably in a position to be able to put yourself onto that something.

There is no thesis on the question of "nature or nurture". Yes, it is clear that our brain has a unique area where moral judgements are localised, but this area's "content" comes from our genes or our social learning?

isn't it all to do with we have synapses in our brains (genetics) but if the environment sensory stimuli doesn't activate them then they don't develop.
