Knowing what I know now, I would have never married 📖⚔️ Paul was so right when he said…, .”Best to be as I am .” He said the word “best, ” because in simplicity it is best .

Prayers please 🙏. I'm engaged to be married. I ask that God reveals His will for us.

Imagine the timing. Been thinking about marriage for a while, I really don't want to but I'm scared that my reasons are due to selfishness. I pray this series may give me some answers.

I'm okay with singleness but that is not to escape the complicatedness of marriage. If I meet a good Christian man, I will want to marry who know. I'll still be excited to create my own community of God’s people.

When I first became a Christian in 1987 I lived with a boyfriend. When he became a Christian a few weeks later we were pushed into marriage by our church. I already had 2 children from a previous marriage. Now our married life lasted 6 months and both of us backslid. For years. I blame bad pastoral teaching myself. No way would we have married if we didn't feel guilty of 'living in I also blame myself. But that's what happened. Mark and I always got on after that as friends, even going to Israel together! He passed last year and I do hope to see him again!! Soon.

There are plenty of married people who give their undivided attention to God. A lot of people DO THAT by two godly people both devoted to God. It's when a Christian marries just anybody. I can't stand it when people tell me I might be called to singleness. If God had that for me he wouldn't make me so inclined to need sex and intimacy

That was what PAUL said not God. Paul even says it comes from him and not God.

I know I need to marry and I don't think Paul was right. God gave us a mandate to be fruitful and multiply and He gave us the parameter of marriage in which to be fruitful and multiply. So I think Paul was being disobedient to God and so are other celibates. On the note of my first statement, I know I need to marry because I am burning even now. If I never marry I will not be able to have a righteous outlet for my sexual burnings. The problem is, I can't seem to find a godly woman who will marry me.
