I love the Xperia 5 ii . The only problem with xperia 5 ii is there no 5G for the phone in the U.S only in other countries

I bought the sony xperia 5ii in 2021 with a huge discount for 630 euro. Best buy i ever did. What an amazing phone. Although not perfect.
I always charge it till 80% abd only charge it till 100% when i know i need the juice. I always have it at 60fps cause i really care more about battery life then useless 120fps (only used 120 fps on pokemon go pvp). I use rhe gaming app in google maps set to all setting low to save a bit batrery when using gps.
Photos are in general amazing eith the standard photo app. For best night video i use the 30fps 1080 p and can even put the exposure slider to max brightness. I always use the headphone jack while riding my motorbike.

What i would like to see better :
1. Burst mode in the normal photo app to make only 1 photo with rhe physical shutter button (now i use rhe on acreen button for that)(would like it to have like half a second delay on the ohysicsl shutter button before it turns to burst shots)
2. Make continuous video while awitching lenses even to the selfie camera (these videos would be nice for social media)
3. An exempt button/toggle in the batrery saving mode for gps/google maps (so you can have the best batrery life but still use google maps and gps while puttin the aceeen ofr and on, rhe searching of gps everytime you out the screen on again slurps more battery, best way to use gps for a long period of time would he with earplugs. So on sound :( )

For the rest minor rhings but not that important. Its ab amazing phone which i intent to use for at least 1 more year 😎

Sony xperia 5 ii is the best phone i've ever owned! The only reason I would switch to a newer one would be the wireless charging, E-sim option and brighter screen backlit performance in outdoor light.

Я живу в России, в Санкт-Петербурге, и я тоже счастливый обладатель до сих пор моего любимого Sony Xperia 5 mark 2, и я очень счастлив что всё таки выбрал Sony Xperia 5 mark 2, потому что 2 года назад, у меня был выбор не купить ли лучше новый Samsung galaxy S20 тоже топовый флагман, но всё таки решил что Sony будет лучше, его ещё приятнее держать в руках, и это эксклюзивность и необычность в отличии от массовых популярных Samsung) и самое главное это качество фотографий, Sony Xperia 5 mark 2 гораздо лучше фотографирует! А сейчас хочу купить новый Sony Xperia 5 mark 5, но мы не богатые, и поэтому моя жена против, говорит лучше побереги деньги на ремонт в квартире)) эх, жаль, но я хотел бы перейти на новый Sony Xperia 5 mark 5)) но пока что хожу дальше со своим старым mark 2.

По поводу игры Call of duty mobile, если вы не знаете почему она в стандарте уже предустановлена на смартфоне Sony Xperia 5 mark 2, значит вы не смотрели официальную презентацию от самой компании Sony когда mark 2 был ещё новым, перед выходом на продажу, а я смотрел, и я расскажу коротко почему, дело в том, что компания Sony хотела идеальный смартфон Xperia во всех направлениях, и не только как маленький карманный профессиональный фотоаппарат, и не только как карманный маленький кинотеатр у вас в руках с соотношением сторон экрана 21/9, это не просто так, а это формат экрана в большом кинотеатре, и чтоб на Netflix фильмы запускались во весь экран без вырезов и чёрных полос по бокам, поэтому сделали экран в формате как кинотеатр и плюс звук стерео динамики Dolby Atmos, Sony ещё и хотела чтоб он был игровым смартфоном Xperia для геймеров, и очень сильно постарались, в Японии Sony наняла, пригласила к себе в компанию, команду самых лучших в Японии мобильных геймеров, для того чтобы они играли на Sony Xperia 5 mark 2, и высказывали все минусы чего им не нравится, для того чтоб во время разработки изменять и добавлять изменения чтоб добиться идеального смартфона для игр, и Sony напрямую тесно сотрудничала с игрой Call of duty mobile, именно с этой игрой геймеры оттачивали и процессор и охлаждение и заряд аккумулятора до идеализма, коротко говоря Sony была партнёром Call of duty, а потом Sony Xperia 5 mark 4, тоже самое было но только с игрой Pabg

Nfc stopped working
Camera is bad
Flashlight is dimm
The whole phone is slippery

Hey mate, you did a nice review, and I'm happy alhamdulliah that i got Xperia 5 ii some 5 months ago, at a good price, but the only problem is Xperia 5 ii got, is the green line issue on the most variants of Xperia 5 ii, and the display replacement is also very costly if not under a warranty, and by the way 1)which variant of Xperia 5 ii you are using?, 2)how's the after sales service of Sony in your Region, and 3) try to make a camera comparison between Xperia 5 ii vs 5 V if possible, and thanks once again for the video.

I'm not sure that phone has reach their limit according to moore's law : the GPU in the 8gen3 is 424% more powerful than the GPU in the 865
When 8gen2 was only 315% more powerful. Big leaps are still being made, it's just that it's kinda hard to find a use case where the 865 or even 855 isn't enough.

So I agree with you, this phone is still a good buy, the only catch are updates : Imo you would need to flash a rom to have the latest android, but then you lose the camera apps
Is there A13 on this ? There might be, but it could also be the last officially supported version, so there's that

I love that phone's form factor and hand feel too (had a broken one I tried to repair once)

Thanks for honest review, well done, I just thinking about buying this phone maybe on ebay or elsewhere, I already have a Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact which I like the most, but memory is small and need more RAM and ROM. You have mentioned some problem with finger touch senzor, which is a problem with used phones. I ask could we just turn on/off phone without that touch control, I also have touch finger senzor button on my XZ1 Compact, but I never used it. Also the phone is bigger - taller than, a lot versus my compact 4, 6 inch screen, I believe I could be used to bigger size in these times there is no small compact phones to buy. I am fun of Sony phones and there is 3, 5 earphone connector built, thanks for reply
