SCHOOLS!!! People who are pushing for kids to go back to school seem to forget that students eat or "dine out" at school. The kids are eating in their rooms with no masks on. If further research that really looks at dinning out in an indoor space is dangerous, we need to seriously relook at what the schools are doing. Also if you are limiting restaurants to 25% capacity, why aren't they limiting the schools to 25% capacity in the rooms where students are eating? There really is no difference.

Yep, pretty much as expected on the children front.

Indoor dining would benefit from large plastic cubicles indoors. It would make cleaning and disinfecting easier.

I don't care anymore. Let those who want to risk it, live how they want. If it's so bad for younger people make it over 18 or 21.

Eating in restaurants is perfectly safe. Stop listening to timid, frail people....they lie a lot.

Manatee County is allowing an exception to the mask mandate for a mega church. This overlapped the opening of schools, which overlapped a number of potential super spreader events, and their numbers are rising again, where they had started to drop with the mask mandate. North of that, Polk County, Hillsboro and Pinellas counties have significantly high percentage positive rates. None of these areas are on the governor's radar, and everything's about to open up on Monday? Stay tuned, it's going to get real down here.
There's a reason we do this:

The first Sarasota Miss-C diagnosis took almost 30 days to get on the public board.

The numbers on the public boards are showing with all of the repeat negatives, despite the governor saying the opposite. When you do the math ...

Prolonged expose in close quarters is high risk for covid-19 transmission. People willing to take this risk are more likely to take others. So, I do not think we know how much of our covid-19 transmission is from dining out indoors.
