The Knave refers to a 'curse' being on her. I am starting to wonder if a part of her is missing or sealed. Part of that could be her gnosis, but I think the situation is more extreme than just not having it tbh. If she gave up her gnosis for something that benefitted Fontaine and with that, lost something of herself (that would maybe explain her mannerisms and current position in Fontaine too)

I really don't see Neuvi (or the others in leadership) just letting her continue leading Fontaine if she was really just unaware, weak, and incompetent. Right now it seems like others in Fontaine are leading the nation and planning for the primordial sea flood, keeping the courts and government running, and preventing issues with other nations. If Furina is currently unable to perform her duties for some reason, it would make sense for her to still be keeping up appearances for various reasons. Neuvi also clearly is trying to protect her as well. Not saying he would let a regular citizen come to harm otherwise, but would he really let someone unfit to rule stay in true power?


Also gotta say, the meeting between Furina and The Knave kinda gives off the vibe that Furina is an oblivious bourgeois to the struggles of her people, eating cake and drinking tea and putting on airs in court while the waters rise. If Fontaine has a revolution similar to the nation it is partially inspired by, things don't bode well for her. And what the Knave sees is likely what a lot of Fontaine sees too.

I think she holds the seat of an archon, but she never attuned to gnosis so she didn't achieve full archon status. Judge still obeys hers to an extent so she is the archon but there must be a special circumstance involving the previous archon since so little is mentioned by them

According to the knave, Furina is like currently in a curse like state due to the way she acts on the court and outside it. If that is true i am guessing that maybe in the past she tried to judge someone who was powerful then her and thus they put a curse on her like for example one of the witches from the hexancircle.

Hoyo is getting good at hiding details. Fun Fact, you don't actually see Neuvillette's constellation name until after finishing one of the archon quests. It gets presented as "???" until that point as far as I'm aware

Wait a minute, I just thought about something. If Nahida is capable of altering peoples very existence through Irminsul, such as removing their memories and/or making people forget they existed (As we saw with both Scaramouche and Greater Lord Rukkhadevata), can’t she do that to the Tsaritsa? One of the main causes of conflict in the 7 Nations? If an archons power is derived from the faith or Devotion of that Nations people then having all the people forget about her would render her powerless wouldn’t it? Or atleast so weak that even Venti could take her on. And would end the fatui including the Harbingers since their whole organization is based on servitude towards the Tsaritsa.

Only furina is the one who doesn't have a vision symbol background like other characters not just the Archons so it may mean that this drip marketing of hers imply that she doesn't have any hydro powers yet. So she'll may get another drip marketing where she really has powers.

The other archons visions are fake, as we all know.
And in one of neuvillettes voicelines we hear him say that it’s silly for other archons to wear fake visions.
So I’m assuming it just means she doesn’t see a need to have a vision on her person
