The Ganzo Firebird Survival Knife F803's blade material is 8CR13 steel which is one of the most quality stainless alloys. This alloy has 58HRC hardness. The shape of the blade is quite universal - drop point. It is beautifully balanced blade with a smooth sharpening and a sharp tip. Unusual, the blade has a black coating made with a special powder paint. In the process of using F803 knife, it is not erased, but requires careful handling during the grinding of the knife.
The handle for F803 is made of thermoplastic ASB. It is a very strong material that is well protected from various types of corrosion, easily tolerates contact with water. There’s is glass breaker at the butt which can be useful in emergency situations.
The Firebird F803 sheath is made of plastic and nylon and includes a flint/ferro on the front side of the sheath. On the back you’ll find a small diamond sharpener, and finally a strap-cutter which makes this kit handy for all sorts of survival issues.
