Unless, some other company is surprising us, it's the pcvr MeganeX headset with the DP connection. Curious about that one, as it has diopter adjustment as well. Sounds like a standard FOV

The history of htc microphone and lenses tells you everything you need to know about the company. Htc don't care what customers want and dont listen to feedback.

To say or think that a high quality, full detail image doesn't matter for gamers just is not true at all. For me, VR is massively limited by current hardware specifically in areas affecting visual fidelity. IMO, Valve essentially nailed audio with their high quality off-ear audio. The only things left to really nail down are either comfort or visual clarity in nature.
Coming from my Valve Index, I will not upgrade until I see something with not only much better lenses and panels but also eye tracked foveated rendering - and especially the option to either play wirelessly or wired with a native DP connection without any compression. To be stuck with only a wireless or compressed USB connection would be an obvious compromise I couldn't be comfortable spending money on - even if it's better overall than my current headset. Just knowing that clarity was left "on the table" would be a massive issue.

You said the Pico 4 mic is as good as the Index which is crazy as the index is such an outlier in how good its microphone is. Could you please do a comparison video for us to hear? That would be amazing, thanks!

Type c ports can have display port.
The reason they left it out is the same reason the headphone jack is left out.

HTC Steve is right, we don't need teasers at this point. If you showed something decent, it would at least pause me from buying the pico 4 to see what you have.

Wow, the "Nreal Air AR" looks awesome, where is the hook?

Was a great show. HTC should totally go with the subsidised headset with Infinity subscription model.

Here's a free tip to HTC on marketing if they are listening. Look at what Nreal just did with their Nreal Air glasses. They sent out test units to every single Youtuber that would agree to check it out and got tons of positive videos talking about how great it is to use with the Valve Steam Deck etc... And they sold out their Nreal adapter in less than 24 hours and are already backed up by almost a month if you want to buy one on Amazon.

Great episode I learned so much guys and girls, thanks . as a Samsung Odyssey 2 owner I can't wait for Samsung to get back back into the OLED virtual reality hard hardware market. 👍

It sounds nice in theory, but I don't like subscriptions to play VR games. I would be continually paying a monthly fee for games I probably would never play. Some may like it if they are a game-a-hollic and play hours on end with VR.

There is so much stuff coming out that I can't decide what to get. Pico 4, Meta Pro, HTC headset, PS VR2, Apples headset, Valve Deckard, and Pimax Crystal or 12K. On top of that you got RTX 4090 or RDNA 3 and also Zen 4 or Intel's 13th generation. Great hardware but games are still lacking. Pico4 and PSVR2 seem to be the best value since I already have a PS5. The Pimax 12K along with a RTX 4090 and 13900K would be great but extremely expensive and useful only for a handful of games or flight sims.

i did set up soo many vr systems, and trust me hot spot is a best option for A LOT of peoples, peoples do not know how wifi works at all, do not know home router password, have no basic understanding how wifi signals are blocked and similar stuff, this is why half of my friends simply hot spot, i go know about godin hate of hot spot but i think his windows is fucked, none of my friends have hot spot problems like he does, i personally always recommend usb wifi hot spot option for all my friends, and a lot of peoples have like 1-2 room apartment having one dedicated and wired device take a lot of space too
